Utah's offensive linemen Caleb Schlauderaff and Zane Taylor along with kicker Joe Phillips and defensive end Christian Cox made the 2010 MWC all-conference team, which was announced Tuesday. Receiver Jereme Brooks, returner Shaky Smithson, offensive lineman Tony Bergstrom, linebacker Chaz Walker and corner Brandon Burton made the second team. Defensive backs Brian Blechen and Lamar Chapman and receiver DeVonte Christopher, linebacker Matt Martinez and defensive lineman Sealver Siliga were honorable mention. TCU dominated the awards with quarterback Andy Dalton getting the Offensive Player of the Year award, linebacker Tank Carder earning the Defensive Player of the Year award and returner Jeremy Kerley getting the Special Teams Player of the Year award. San Diego State coach Brady Hoke is the Coach of the Year while the Aztecs' running back, Ronnie Hillman, is the Freshman of the Year. There weren't too many surprises with the team, although I thought Siliga would fall on the second team and not just honorable mention.
