Utah defensive end Trevor Reilly has been named Bank of the West Pac-12 Player of the Week in football, along with USC quarterback Matt Barkley and Cal kick returner Brendan Bigelow.

This is the first time a Utah football player has received the honor in the new conference.

Reilly, whose primary position is linebacker, subbed in at defensive end in Utah's 54-10 victory over BYU on Saturday. He finished with two sacks for a loss of 21 yards and three tackles for loss for 35 yards, forced three fumbles (recovering one of those), had a pass breakup and five total tackles. One of Reilly's forced fumbles led to a Utah touchdown. He sacked Heaps for a 7-yard loss, forcing a fumble that was scooped up by V.J. Fehoko and returned 57 yards for the game's final touchdown.

His three forced fumbles is a school record.
