A 47-year-old snowmobiler was in serious condition Thursday, the day after he was rescued by Cache County Search and Rescue crews from a crash site in upper Logan Canyon.

Sheriff's Lt. Brian Locke said that the victim, whose name was not released pending continuing efforts to notify extended family. appeared to have suffered neck and back injuries in the Wednesday afternoon accident in Bunch Grass area, which is between Franklin Basin and Tony Grove.

A companion called 911, and rescuers were dispatched. About 5 p.m., a medical helicopter arrived to take the victim to a hospital in Salt Lake City.
