There was a time when Alta junior Kramer Morton felt intimidated just to be on the same course with runners from American Fork and Davis.

Morton put those doubts aside and came to the 5A meet with the intention of turning back all challengers. He accomplished that feat, winning by 5 seconds.

"I came here today to win," Morton said. "If it didn't happen, I wasn't going to be too upset, but I didn't want to settle for anything less."

The American Fork boys won for the fourth consecutive year.
