Another day, another postseason honor for BYU linebacker Kyle Van Noy. This one comes from CBSsports.com, which apparently has a feature its calls the All-Bowl Team. After 35 bowl games, the website announced that Van Noy made its All-Bowl Team with "what was probably the best defensive performance of the bowl season. Van Noy single-handedly won the Poinsettia Bowl for the Cougars." BYU senior Riley Stephenson also made the All-Bowl team as the best punter. The St. George native had punts downed at the 5, 16, 1, 2, 9 and 1 yard lines. —————————- I never have agreed with the term "mid-major" to describe college basketball programs, but collegeinsider.com puts out a weekly ranking of such, and BYU is currently No. 7 in that deal. Gonzaga is No. 2, St. Mary's is No. 5 and Utah State is No. 6. and the Cougars' opponent on Saturday, Santa Clara, is No. 16.
