The Salt Lake County Council gave its consent Tuesday to Mayor Ben McAdams' selection of four more upper-level administrators.

Erin Litvack will remain director of the Department of Community Services, a position she held for the past eight years under former Mayor Peter Corroon. Her associate director will be Martin Jensen, previously marketing manager for the department's parks and recreation division.

County veteran Megan Hillyard also will switch duties, moving from administrative assistant to Councilman Arlyn Bradshaw to associate director of administrative services. She will report to Jill E. Carter, who joined the McAdams administration from the private sector.

Roderic Land, who was an assistant professor in the University of Utah Department of Education, Culture and Society, is the new associate director of human services. His boss is Lori Bays, a health and human services agency executive from San Diego County and a former Utah state official.

The council also appointed McAdams and Democratic Councilman Sam Granato to seats on the Salt Lake Valley Fire Service Area Board, which oversees the Unified Fire Agency (UFA).

Granato's district includes all of Millcreek, the largest section of unincorporated county covered by the UFA. He fills a board seat held by his predecessor on the council, Jani Iwamoto.

To make room for McAdams, Democratic Councilman Randy Horiuchi resigned his seat on the board. Corroon was not a UFA trustee.
