Former BYU quarterback Riley Nelson is headed back to Logan High, where he will take over offensive coordinator duties for his alma mater.

"You want to surround yourself with guys you trust, and I trust Riley Nelson," said Logan coach Mike Favero, who now will handle the Grizzlies' defense.

Nelson played for Logan from 2003 to 2005, amassing 9,869 total yards and 130 total touchdowns, according to Utah High School Activities Association records.

Nelson played one season at Utah State but finished his collegiate career at BYU.
