Utah's signing day is under way with the Utes welcoming aboard several players from Florida, including running back Tavaris Williams, receiver Kenric Young and safety Andre Godfrey. Utah coach Kyle Whittingham said before signing day the Utes were hoping to make Florida their new gold mine for talent. "Dennis Erickson has a lot of ties and connections down there along with (defensive coordinator) Kalani Sitake," he said. "Between the two of them we have opened up a lot of doors down there." The Utes lost East tight end Joe Tukuafu to Utah State. He was supposed to go on a mission before joining the Utes but instead joined the list of guys the Utes couldn't keep within their fold. Nevertheless, Utah coach Kyle Whittingham was anticipating this class to be a good one. "You never know exactly how a class is until you get them on the field," he said. "But the main focal point on this class was the secondary and wide receivers as far as becoming faster and more athletic and we hope we helped ourselves there." Keep checking back, we'll have more updates and analysis throughout the day. - Lya Wodraska
