ST. GEORGE - A man has been sentenced to five years to life in prison in the killing of a coin shop dealer during a robbery at the store.

Daniel Robert Campbell, 52, was sentenced Wednesday in 5th District Court. He pleaded guilty to first-degree felony murder in July in a plea agreement.

Jordan Allgood, a married father of three, was fatally shot Nov. 25, 2003.

The three children each addressed Campbell and the court at the sentencing.

Daughter Amber Allgood recalled eating lunch at the store with her father and watching him interact with customers.

''People came into his store as customers, but they left as friends,'' Amber Allgood said.

Allgood's widow, Kathy, an elementary school art teacher, displayed sympathy cards children made for her when they learned her husband had been killed.

''I miss him daily,'' she said. ''I'll probably live to be 99 years old - it's in my genes. Some days I can't fathom living that long without him. I miss having my best friend. The man I loved and married and the man you shot and killed taught me to love.''

Campbell also addressed the Allgood family.

''I've never met people like you before,'' he said. ''You're a very special family.''
