Admission: $20 per day or $50 for an event pass, children under age 12 get in free

NAMI Walk • The National Alliance on Mental Illness Utah sponsors this walk to raise funds for and awareness of mental health issues. Information, http://www.namiwalks.org/utah.

When: Saturday, 8:30 a.m. registration begins, 10 a.m. walk begins

Registration: Free, but fundraising is encouraged

2014 Utah Walk Now for Autism Speaks • Proceeds from this fundraiser go to Autism Speaks' work to increase awareness about autism, fund innovative autism and research and advocate for individuals with autism and their families. Information, http://www.walknowforautismspeaks.org.

When: Saturday, 8:30 a.m. registration, 10:15 a.m. walk begins

Registration: Free, but walkers who raise certain amounts can receive T-shirts and other prizes

Alta tree planting • One hundred volunteers, ages 14 and up, are needed to plant 2,000 trees at Alta as part of a TreeUtah project. Online registration is required to determine your hiking ability. 2nd Annual Salt Lake Craggin' Classic • Presented by the American Alpine Club and Salt Lake Climbers Alliance, this climbing festival focuses on education, community and environmental stewardship with clinics, gear demonstrations, a tree planting service project and free camping at Tanner Flats and more.
