Unified Police on Monday remained without suspects in the weekend shooting death of a Kearns man.

UPD Lt. Lex Bell said detectives had been able to generate few leads in the Sunday 4 a.m. slaying of 24-year-old Marvin Lopez of West Valley City, though it appeared to have been a drive-by shooting from a silver-colored vehicle.

Bell said the shooting occurred outside a residence at 5615 S. 4220 West in Kearns. Lopez was taken by friends to Jordan Valley West Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead of gunshot wounds a short time later.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call UPD at 801-743-7000.
