Posted: 4:49 PM- A South African man arrested by the FBI in Chicago will stand trial on software piracy charges in Salt Lake City's U.S. District Court.

Authorities said Monday that Navneet Chan Bhownath was placed in custody of federal marshals after his arrest last Thursday. Illinois U.S. Magistrate Sidney Schenkier ordered Bhownath held without bail until his return to face charges in Utah.

In a criminal complaint unsealed Friday, the 30-year-old Bhownath is accused of having sold almost $65,000 worth in illegal copies of EyeQ, a reading-improvement program sold by Salt Lake City-based Infinite Mind LC, to more than 200 customers through various Web sites.
