The Utah Jazz have signed rookie small forward Quincy Ford, the team formally announced on Wednesday morning.

In a deal that comes with a partial guarantee of $75,000, Ford, a 6-foot-8 small forward out of Northeastern, will attend training camp, which starts on September 27th, and is expected to be on the Salt Lake City Stars roster, Utah's D-League affiliate.

The Jazz like Ford, his versatility, his ability to play multiple positions and his positional size. In playing with the Jazz in summer league during July, Ford stood out with his shooting at the small forward and power forward positions.

Ford went undrafted out of Northeastern, but impressed several teams including the Jazz. Ford is expected to join rookie point guard Marcus Paige with the Stars. The Jazz currently have 14 guaranteed contracts on their roster. The 15th spot is expected to go to center Jeff Withey, who has a contract that will become guaranteed in January.
