After a 3-0 start, Utah football is ranked at No. 23 in the latest Coaches Poll and No. 24 in the AP Top 25.

The Utes make their first appearance in both polls this season after a 34-17 win over San Jose State Saturday night in which the team racked up 10 sacks on defense.

The top five of the Coaches Poll is Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, Louisville and Michigan. Stanford is the highest ranked Pac-12 team at No. 6, with Washington the only other conference team ranked at No. 8.

Oregon, ranked at No. 21 last week, dropped out after a loss to Nebraska.
