Matt Haimovitz, a genre-busting cellist who's equally at home in concert halls and nightclubs, brings "The Bach Suites: A Movable Feast" to the University of Utah campus as part of the UtahPresents 2016-17 season and the Virtuoso Concert Series. Performances pair Bach's monumental solo cello music with contemporary compositions by Philip Glass, David Sanford, Luna Pearl Woolf, Roberto Sierra and Du Yun.

Haimovitz also will offer shorter pop-up performances in various Salt Lake City locations, plus a master class featuring four U. of U. student musicians.
