Fresno, Calif. • Senior Paige Crozon scored 12 points and added 10 rebounds, and junior Tanaeya Boclair scored a team-high 16 points as the Utah women's basketball team beat Fresno State 65-55 on Tuesday night to improve to 2-0 on the season.

Junior Emily Potter added 15 points for the Utes with eight rebounds and four blocks. Utah next plays host to Utah Valley University at 5:30 p.m. at the Huntsman Center.

The Utes missed their first 10 shots from the field, but rallied to a 10-4 lead in the first quarter and went into the second quarter with an 18-8 lead. Utah extended the lead to 13 points before Fresno State ended the first half on an 8-0 run, leaving the Utes up 31-26 at halftime.

Utah came out and scored the first 11 points of the third quarter to go up 42-26 before Fresno replied with an 9-0 run. Utah led 45-37 at the end of the third quarter and extended the lead to 16 in the fourth quarter, going on for the victory.
