A man has died after a crash on Interstate 80 in Echo Canyon near Echo Reservoir.

A pickup truck clipped the back of a semitrailer, said Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce, which sent the pickup rolling down an embankment into a stream, where the 62-year-old driver was ejected.

Someone who saw the accident performed CPR on the man, and a medical helicopter transported him to a Salt Lake City hospital, where he was pronounced dead later that afternoon, said Royce.

The sergeant did not identify the man.
