Utah coach Kyle Whittingham reiterated how good he believes Pitt's defensive ends are during Monday's press conference. The ends, Jabaal Sheard and Greg Romeus, both come with a lot of preseason hype. Sheard, the left end, is starting his third season while Romeus is on every award watch list that pertains to his position. "They are challenges for us personnel wise, very athletic," he said. Utah right tackle Tony Bergstrom is an underrated player by many in my estimation while left tackle John Cullen brings a lot of hype to Utah after turning down several offers from top programs to sign with the Utes. We'll get to see what the two are made of right away, won't we? Not a lot of new news out of the press conference, which is no surprise given how long this opener has been discussed. Whittingham did say linebacker J.J. Williams is questionable for the game. He also repeated plans to let Eddie Wide and Matt Asiata split carries unless one gets hot and that stopping Pitt running back Dion Lewis is the first concern. Both Whittingham and the players said they are tired of all the buildup and just want to play. "We worked out this morning at 7 a.m. and looked up at the clock and were like, '82 more hours to go,'" defensive end Christian Cox said. "We're really pumped to go."
