Excerpts from Jazz guard Deron Williams' interview Friday afternoon with the media during All-Star player availability at a hotel in downtown Los Angeles.Williams on whether Utah can make a playoff run as the team is currently constructed, and if the Jazz need to make changes: That's up to our organization. Kevin O'Connor, Greg Miller. If they feel like we need to make some moves to improve, then they feel that way.How he's feeling, and whether All-Star weekend will allow him to clear his head: Not really. I'm sitting here talking to you guys, talking about all this stuff. I'd rather be somewhere where I don't have to talk about it, don't have to deal with it. Just clear my head. But this is a fun weekend. I'm excited to be a part of it. I'm going to make the most of it.The last time he felt like this as an NBA player: Never. I've never had a season this frustrating, personally and as a team. Karl Malone's recent comments about Jerry Sloan's resignation: That's Karl's coach. Of course he's going to defend his coach. If somebody came out and said bad things about my high school coach, I would defend them. Same situation. I don't read into it any other way. Differences between Sloan and Tyrone Corbin: Personalities, they're different. Ty's 30 years younger; can relate to us a little bit better. A little bit easier to approach. Coach [Sloan] can be intimidating a little bit just because of his stature and he is a Hall of Famer and he's been here for so many years, it's hard for a lot of guys to approach him.What's got him through the storm: Family, my spirituality. I pray on it. God does everything for a reason. You go through struggles anytime; everybody does, and you've just got to work through them.Seeing the light: Yeah. It was weighing on me a lot. But just hopefully getting away a little bit will help. Dealing with sore wrist during All-Star weekend: I don't know what to think right now. I don't know how much I'm going to play. If I feel it's hurting, I'll just ask him to sit me. Fan reaction to Sloan resigning: Everybody that's said something to me has said they support me, they're behind me and they're fans of me. Other than a couple hecklers in the crowd, I haven't really heard anything bad from our fans. Our fans have been great to me.Break being good for team: We've had times when we've been hot coming into the All-Star break, and it's like, I wish we wouldn't have had it. This year I think it's kind of the opposite. We've been pretty cold and it'll be a good chance for us to just get a break. Has anything that has happened during the past week changed his long-term desire to remain with the Jazz: I can't even think about it. There's so many different things that weigh on free agency for me. The Collective Bargaining Agreement is the first one. Until I see what that's like, I can't even think about it. I don't want to get into one of those things where everybody's guessing what I'm going to do. I'd rather just leave it at that. You can guess if you want to, but you're not going to know from me.Dreading free-agency circus: That's why I try to just keep it at a distance. People ask me about it, I just try to shrug it off and say, 'You'll have a decision when I have one, and that'll be whenever it is. Two years from now or a year from now.' … You kind of expect it. With LeBron it was like a two-year buildup. Every time he went to New York it was brought up and it started a whole thing. He was on 'PTI,' 'First Take,' everything. That's LeBron James — it's going to be big news. … I already said I'm not going to do 'The Decision.' I don't think anybody would tune in anyways.
