The Utes picked up their first official commitment for the 2012 recruiting class with Kiha Sai, a 6-foot-5, 300-pound offensive lineman out of Kamehameha School in Honolulu committing to the Utes. His last name should sound familiar to Utah fans since his brother, Kapua, is a current offensive lineman for the Utes. Kiha said he has been a Utah fan since the seventh grade and can't wait to carry on the family and brother tradition of playing for the Utes. "They've had the Kruger brothers, the Kemoeatu brothers and others so it's going to be cool to be a part of that legacy," he said. "I've been to every spring game the last couple years and to play there, I can't wait." While Kiha said he is excited about the possibility of playing with his brother, the two are competitive too, which should serve the Utes well. "He puts pressure on me to be the best player I can be," he said. "He's always the one getting the ink, the one reporters want to talk to so I'm always trying to be as good as he is." Kiha also had interest from Colorado and Arizona but was sold on the Utes. "Nothing could take me away from Utah," he said.
