IL roster

C Devin Mesoraco (Louisville) • Popped up a hug fly out to center field and later blasted a single over the infield's hands.

INF Jason Kipnis (Columbus) • Walked on a full-count ball in his first plate appearance, and followed that up with hard hit ball that was dropped by the right fielder for a double.

INF Russ Canzler (Durham) • The Bulls infielder accounted for the only runs of the game when he hit a three-run homer in the second inning.

OF Brandon Guyer (Durham) • Hit into double-play his first time up, then popped out to center field, which almost a caused a collision between the right and center fielder.

OF Jeremy Hermida (Louisville) • Struck out his first time up to bat, but followed it up with a single that wound up being one of the six hits the IL collected.

OF Dayan Viciedo (Charlotte) • Reached on a Jeff Baisley error when the ground ball jumped out of the Bees third baseman's gloves.

OF Stefan Gartrell (Gwinnett) • The Braves outfielder won the Home Run derby, but was 0 for 3 with a walk.

C Erik Kratz (Lehigh Valley) • Nearly blasted a home run during the sixth inning, but it didn't count because it went foul by a few inches.

INF Mauro Gomez (Gwinnett) • Hit a moon shot fly out to centerfield that seemed like it took hours to come back inside Spring Mobile Ballpark.

INF Matt Antonelli (Syracuse) • Made his first plate appearance during the seventh, but his groundout turned into an inning-ending double play.

INF Ray Olmedo (Durham) • The Bulls' infielder had an amazing catch in the opening inning that saved a run from scoring.

INF Matt Hague (Indianapolis) • Was very patient at the plate as he walked on four straight pitches in his first at-bat.

INF Will Rhymes (Toledo) • Grounded out in his first appearance that came late in eighth inning.

OF Yonder Alonso (Louisville) • Alonso came out to Usher's "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love" as the game was held up for some odd reason, thus the entire song almost wound up playing.

OF Jose Constanza (Gwinnett) • Chased a very high fastball to strike out in his first plate appearance that occurred in the eighth inning.

P Matt Fox (Pawtucket) • Did not see action.

P Chuck James (Rochester) • Walked two batters, but also struck two batters out.

P Shane Lindsay (Charlotte) • Came into the game after a rousing version of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" to walk two batters.

P Zach McAllister (Columbus) • The Illinois native started the game and allowed the first hit of the game.

P Tom Milone (Syracuse) • Made his one-inning appearance during the sixth, and struck out a batter.

P Michael Schwimer (Lehigh Valley) • Made an appearance during the eighth to face the last two batters of the inning.

P Chris Schwinden (Buffalo) • Was able to pitch the entire fifth inning as manager Mike Sarabaugh shuffled pitchers throughout the evening.

P Adam Warren (Scranton/Wilkes-Barre) • Handled the pitching duties for the third and fourth innings and allowed one hit, and notched a strikeout.

P Mark Worrell (Norfolk) • Wound up being the final pitcher to take the mound Wednesday night.

P Mike Zagurski (Lehigh Valley) • Started the bottom of the ninth before Worrell wound up taking over.

PCL roster

OF J.B. Shuck (Oklahoma City) • Hit two consecutive foul balls that almost took out the press box windows during the bottom of the seventh.

OF Vinny Rottino (New Orleans) • The outfielder's groundout wound up being the last out of the game as he headed down the first-base line.

OF Trayvon Robinson (Albuquerque) • Struck out and grounded out in his only two plate appearances.

OF Aaron Cunningham (Tucson) • Walked in first at-bat during the seventh, and later grounded out to second.

OF Collin Cowgill (Reno) • Had three at-bats, and three groundouts.

OF Andrew Brown (Memphis) • Struck out on three straight pitches in his first at-bat, but later reached on an near-double-play that turned into an error.

INF Gil Velaquez (Salt Lake) • The Bees shortstop struck out and grounded out.

INF Eric Sogard (Sacramento) • Hit into a inning-ending double play and struck out in his two plate appearances.

INF Clint Robinson (Omaha) • Hit a blooper to the pitcher, but later added single to his box score.

INF Cody Ransom (Reno) • Walked and hit a high popout.

INF Bryan Lahair (Iowa) • Blasted a deep flyout, but it fell short of the wall and into the center fielder's glove.

INF Johnny Giavotella (Omaha) • Knocked in the first hit of the game to get things started at Spring Mobile Ballpark.

INF David Cooper (Las Vegas) • Had the most exciting at-bat of the night when he hit a foul ball that flew backwards and went through the open window of a luxury suite.

INF Jeff Baisley (Salt Lake) • The Bees third baseman had the PCL's only error of the night, but also received the biggest applause of the evening during his first plate appearance.

INF Tony Abreu (Reno) • Hit a high foul ball into the stands that could have been historic memory for a guy in a navy blue hat, but he wound up dropping it right in front of press row.

C Konrad Schmidt (Reno) • Blasted a foul ball that almost took out one of the MLB Network's cameramen.

C Anthony Recker (Sacramento) • Gave fans sitting behind the IL dugout a souvenir with his foul ball.

C Wellington Castillo (Iowa) • Struck out swinging in first appearance in the sixth to end the inning, and later grounded out into a double-play.

P Sam Narron (Nashville) • Pitched an uneventful sixth inning.

P Brad Mills (Las Vegas) • Started the game for the PCL and walked the first batter. He then later gave up the only runs of the game when Russ Canzler hit a three-run homer.

P Jim Miller (Colorado Springs) • Came in to register the last out of the eighth inning.

P Luis Mendoza (Omaha) • Pitched the entire third inning and allowed two hits.

P Josh Lueke (Tacoma) • Faced two batters in the eighth and registered a strikeout.

P Andrew Kown (Fresno) • Pitched the entire fifth inning.

P John Gaub (Iowa) • Walked two batters in the top of the ninth.

P Willie Eyre (Sacramento) • The former Cyprus star came in with one out left in the top of the ninth and threw seven pitches. Three strikes, 2 balls, and 2 foul balls.

P Dana Eveland (Albuquerque) • Took care of the pitching duties throughout the entire fourth inning.

P Cody Eppley (Round Rock) • Pitched the seventh inning for the PCL.
