The free, one-day sessions, scheduled later this month and into the fall, "will offer information on employment taxes, types of businesses and their tax treatment and more," according to an IRS-issued statement.

The sessions will be presented at the Salt Lake Community College, Miller Campus, 9750 S. 300 West in Sandy.

Other sponsors include the Salt Lake Region Small Business Development Center at SLCC and the Utah State Tax Commission.

• The Choosing a Business Entity Workshop will be offered 8:30 a.m. to noon Sept. 8 and Nov. 10.
