The son of former BYU star and Boston Celtics general manager Danny Ainge has decided to walk on at BYU. Cooper Ainge, a 6-foot point guard from Wellesley, Mass., said Monday night he will play for the Cougars. Austin Ainge, Danny's son and Cooper's brother, also played for the Cougars. Cooper Ainge, a senior in high school, credited BYU's staff as the reason he chose BYU. He plans to play for BYU for a year before leaving on an LDS Church mission for two years. There's a possibility he could redshirt his first year. And he's not the last of the basketball-playing Ainge brothers. Crew Ainge is a sophomore at the same high school.
