I called Sen. Mike Lee's office to raise a question about why the 13-member Senate panel tasked with writing a new version of the Trumpcare bill did not include a single woman. (I stopped myself from asking why there are no Democrats or moderate Republicans on the panel or why it includes both senators from Texas, Utah and Wyoming.)

Lee's spokeswoman said: "It doesn't matter." She said that the group self-selected by expressing interest in being on the panel and also that the group wanted to include different points of view.

Really?
