The 100% for Kids Credit Union Education Foundation has awarded $4,565 to four schools in the Alpine School District.
The grants went to:
Highland Elementary • Fourth-grade students will get $1,500 worth of new social studies textbooks.
Sage Hill Elementary • $1,000 for U.S. history texts and atlases for fifth-graders.
Windsor Elementary • Fourth-graders will get new books worth $1,000.
Suncrest Elementary • First-graders will purchase a Companion Reading Program thanks to $1,065.
The 100% for Kids Credit Union Education Foundation reviews grant applications each month. The foundation, formed in 2002, seeks support from Utah's Credit Unions, credit union members and anyone interested in improving education.
Since it began, the foundation has contributed more than $5 million in grants to all 40 of Utah's school districts.
