• Ironic rockers Cake headline "X96's Nightmare Before Xmas" show, at Saltair, 12408 W. Saltair Drive, Magna. Opening acts: The Naked and the Famous, Brogan Kelby. Show starts at 7:30. Tickets are $38, at SmithsTix (and check for discount tickets for $9.60).

• Utah a cappella group and recent "The Sing-Off" contestants Voice Male performs at Thanksgiving Point, 3003 N. Thanksgiving Way, Lehi. Show starts at 7:30 (and repeats Wednesday night). Tickets are $17, at the door.

• Rock heavyweights Guns 'N' Roses — with frontman Axl Rose and keyboardist Dizzy Reed, but without most of the other early members of the band — performs at the Maverik Center, 3200 S. Decker Lake Drive, West Valley City. Opening act: Black Label Society. Show starts at 9 p.m. Tickets, from $49.50 to $69.50, available at Ticketmaster.
