Innovative indie-dance duo Hank & Cupcakes will be playing at the Vertigo Room at The Complex. The band has been busy recording the follow-up to its debut; the new album will be released early in 2012. The band hails from Tel Aviv and Melbourne, and its edgy, distinctive sound reflects the time spent in those places. Codi Jordan Band, Funk and Gonzo and Junior Giant will open.

Where • The Complex, 537 W. 100 South, Salt Lake City

Jon Schmidt

Bank of Utah hopes to warm bodies and souls this holiday season by holding a warm clothing drive in conjunction with the bank's annual sponsorship of Jon Schmidt's Christmas concert. The bank will accept donations of new or in-good-condition coats, hats, scarves, gloves and blankets, and new children's underwear. All will be donated to Crossroads Urban Center in Salt Lake City.

Tickets • $18.50 at Kingtix

Dwayne Perkins

Brooklyn native Dwayne Perkins is already a vet in the comedy game with appearances on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," "The Late Late Show," and "Premium Blend." He also has his own "Comedy Central Presents" half-hour special.
