Official postgame notes and quotes following the Jazz's 108-79 home win Tuesday against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Notes: Jazz are now 98-59 all-time vs. the Clippers and 61-17 in Salt Lake City … Utah has now won 11 of the last 12 meetings … Paul Millsap scored 10 of his team-high 20 points in the first quarter … Jazz bench outscored the Clippers bench 54-32 led by C.J. Miles' season-high 19 points … Miles also tied his careerhigh with four steals … Al Jefferson's double-double (10 points, 13 rebounds) is his sixth of the season …Rookie Enes Kanter reached his career-high with 10 points … Forward Jeremy Evans' nine points is a season high.

Tyrone Corbin – Head Coach (9-4 this season)On the win"It was a great effort for 48 minutes. We continue to do what we talk about to get better. That's creating the tempo on the defensive end of the floor, active hands, (and) guys staying in front of their man. I thought it was great execution of our game plan."

On the team's energy and fastbreak points"That's what it's going to take (is) points in the paint. It starts on the defense end of the floor (and) getting up into guys, and having our bigs talking on the pick and roll."

On team chemistry"I enjoyed watching the guys having fun do what they do. They really worked together and they deserved to have some success."

Paul Millsap – Forward (20 points, 6 rebounds)On the game"We had a good team effort (and) everybody came out with a lot of energy. We attacked first and we came out with the win. If everybody takes initiative to guard their guy and help each other, we're a good defensive team and that's what we did tonight. I had help behind me, guys blocking shots so we're going to need that going forward."

On how well the Jazz are playing"I guess people know who we are now (and) we're going to continue to try to fight (and) continue to try and get better."

C.J. Miles – Guard (19 points, 5 rebounds)On playing in a game with a large lead"I've been a part of comebacks. My biggest thing was, and Coach (Corbin) said it in timeouts, to just keep playing hard, no matter what. Whoever was in the game, how much we were up by – just to keep playing. And we need to keep working on our stuff, so we can't take those minutes lightly … so it was good for everybody to get playing time."On the team's highlight finishes"It's fun when everybody is out there – playing hard, playing together, guys passing the ball. Usually when we move the ball like that in our sets we get good shots and we get dunks and layups. We have guys capable of finishing plays like that."

Raja Bell – Guard (8 points, 2 rebounds)On the Jazz's deep roster and rotation"I think it does kind of benefit us in short rest situations because we have fresh legs and youthful legs. So that's a plus. We haven't had three in a row yet, so the jury's kind of out on that still."

On the reason the defense has improved this season"I think we had a good training camp that emphasized defense. There were some clear-cut rules and Ty was pretty specific about what they wanted and what they expected out of us. It's not unlike a child – if you give them some structure and express what you expect from them, then you can get that done."

Notes: The Clippers have not won in Utah since January 22, 2003, a streak of 16 straight games … Overall the Clippers have lost 43 of their last 45 contests in Utah … Blake Griffin had two dunks, giving him 30 on the year which ties him with Javalee McGee for the NBA lead … Caron Butler appeared in his 600th career game tonight … The Clippers never led against the Jazz tonight, in their previous two contests (vs. New Jersey and against the Lakers) the Clips led wire-to-wire … LAC is second in the NBA with 12.8 turnovers per game, tallying 13 tonight.

Vinny Del Negro – Head Coach (7-4 this season)On the Clippers' performance overall"We didn't overlook anything, we just came out and played poorly. We didn't have good energy, we weren't aggressive. They were way more aggressive. Give Utah credit. Our starters didn't get off to a good start defensively and Utah got into a rhythm. They were more physical than we were and we were playing catchup the whole night."

On bouncing back tomorrow night"There are no excuses, we have to bounce back tomorrow night. We have to play much harder, play smarter, play tougher and that's what I expect."

Blake Griffin – Forward (10 Points, 11 Rebounds)On the lack of energy from the team"From beginning to end we just didn't have energy, didn't have focus. We missed shots, but that's going to happen. No excuses. We have to do better than that."

On being in the middle of a back-to-back-to-back"Guys might be tired, but everybody has to play back-to-backs. You can't say the game tomorrow affected us today. We have to do a better job of being prepared coming off a game the day before."

On getting into a rhythm tonight"I don't think we ever did really. It was ugly. At the same time they did things they wanted to do. They played good defense, they hit shots, they did everything. It was a combination of everything."Chauncey Billups – Guard (10 Points, 6 Assists)On how his back is feeling"It actually feels pretty good. It felt as good today as it has in a week. I'm encouraged about that. It's funny because yesterday in the game my back was bothering me and my shot was short because I couldn't really get up. Today, my shot was long because I could finally get it back."

On his overall feeling on the game"We didn't come out in the right mindset in the game. You could tell that they knew we played yesterday. They came out and attacked us early. They got out in transition and we just want to toughen up defensively to start the game. That's really the responsibility of the starters."

On the team not having enough energy"Anytime you come and play a Utah team, energy is the number one statement. They are going to play extremely hard. I think that instead of hitting the ground running in the first quarter we tried to feel ourselves into the game. Because of that you get down 10, you get down 12. That's really on the starters. That's on us. We can't rely on the bench to come in and get us back into games. The bench's responsibility is to keep the game in order. That's on us. We take the bullet on that one and we look forward to playing this team again."
