Dr. Seuss event at Target

Target is hosting a free Dr. Seuss storytime Saturday, Feb. 25 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. featuring a reading of The Lorax. Stores also will have activities and goody bags for children. Go HERE for more information.

The Discovery Gateway children's museum also has a free upcoming Dr. Seuss event. The museum is offering a free celebration of Dr. Seuss's Birthday on Friday, March 2 outside the museum. The event, held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Kem and Carolyn Gardner Theater, will held in partnership with public television station KUED and include a screening of the upcoming season of "The Cat in the Hat Knows a lot About That." Children can make Lorax trees, and green eggs. The first 500 kids will receive a free signature red and white striped Cat in the Hat-inspired hat and a free book.
