Sioux Falls, S.D. • Sixth-seeded Southern Utah will play No. 3 Oakland in the quarterfinals of the Summit League men's basketball tournament Sunday at 7:30 p.m. MST.

Southern Utah comes off a 73-71 loss to regular-season champion Oral Roberts, which dropped the Thunderbirds to 13-16 overall and 8-10 in the conference. Oakland, the two-time defending champion from Michigan, is 17-14 overall and 11-7 in league play.

The Golden Grizzlies are the league's top scoring team (79.5 ppg). They are led by Reggie Hamilton, who averages 25.5 points per game and has spent the season battling Weber State's Damian Lillard for the Division I individual scoring title.

Southern Utah lost to Oakland twice during the season: 72-63 in Cedar City on Jan. 19, and 76-68 at Oakland on Feb. 11. —
