All nine members of the Salt Lake starting lineup had at least one hit, as the Bees cruised to an 11-1 win over the El Paso Chihuahuas on Saturday night. Salt Lake grabbed a 1-0 lead in the third inning on a single by Carlos Perez. They added two more runs in the fifth on a single by Rey Navarro and a double by Perez. The Bees broke the game open with seven runs in the seventh inning, all after there were two outs and no one on base, with the key hits coming on a two-run single by Ramon Flores and a two-run triple by Michael Bourn.

Perez led Salt Lake's 18-hit attack with four hits and two runs batted in, while Bourn added three hits and two RBIs. Newcomer Cesar Puello delivered three hits and scored two runs in his debut.

Salt Lake starter Alex Klonowski (1-1) picked up his first career Triple A win, as he tossed six scoreless innings, allowing just four hits with two strikeouts and one walk. The Bees have now won the first three games of the series in El Paso and have opened up a 2.5-game lead over Albuquerque.
