Weber State guard Damian Lillard is one of five final candidates selected for the 2012 Bob Cousy Award, which recognizing the nation's top point guard. The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced the final five candidates of the award Friday. The Cousy Award is named after Hall of Famer and former Boston Celtics guard Bob Cousy.

The other finalists areIsaiah Canaan of Murray State, Matthew Dellavedova from Saint Mary's, Kendall Marshall of North Carolina and Tyshawn Taylor of Kansas.

Lillard was recently named the USBWA District VIII Player of the Year and the Big Sky Conference Most Valuable Player in leading Weber State to a 24-6 record.

Lillard is currenlty second in the country with an average of 24.5 points per game, the best single-season average in Weber State history. He has scored 736 points this season which is the most in Weber State single-season history and ranks as the fourth most in Big Sky Conference single-season history.
