While they await their NCAA Tournament destination, BYU's West Coast Conference champion women's basketball team has added a valuable piece to its future. Jessica Chatman, a 6-foot wing from Union High in Washington has committed to coach Jeff Judkins' program. Chatman just finished her sophomore season. She is the daughter of former Cougar great Jeff Chatman and the sister of Jordan Chatman, a senior who signed with BYU last November. Jordan Chatman already has his church mission call — to Taiwan — and will enroll at BYU in 2014. Jessica Chatman is described on the ESPN recruiting website this way: "A young wing prospect with upside. Her 6-foot frame has a strong build for a sophomore and she is very aggressive on both sides of the court. Her ball skills are raw, but again, some upside." She averaged 16 points per game last season and was a first team all-conference selection.
