Get ready for a gusty Tuesday, but leave your cold-weather gear at home.

It's predicted to be windy across the state Tuesday, but the gusts won't reach dangerous levels or usher in a cold front — the warm weather should stay until the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Gusts are predicted up to 30 to 40 miles per hour, not windy enough to spark a warning or watch, said forecaster Linda Cheng. The temperatures will stay in the mid-60s, she said, with some periods of clouds, in the northern part of the state, rising to the 70s in St. George.

The wind should die down tomorrow, but expect that warm spring-like weather to continue at least until Thursday, and possibly into Friday, she said.

The weekend will bring a storm and drop high temperatures to the 40s, Cheng said. It's predicted to start as rain, but may turn to snow by Sunday.
