Several teens armed with a BB gun to protect themselves from rogue deer decided to take a jog through a Weber County neighborhood — naked.

The Weber County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday said a woman spotted the teens — three males and one female — streaking along Bonneville Terrace Drive about 2 a.m. Sunday.

A deputy responding to the initial call spotted the quartet running toward Ogden. As the 17-year-old female tried to hide behind a tree, the three males — two 17-year-olds and an 18-year-old — kept running. However, deputies said they quickly located the three.

The teens told deputies they decide it would be fun to run naked like in the movie "American Pie" and thought no one would notice at 2 a.m. However, they told deputies they feared they would be attacked by a deer so they decided to bring a BB gun along, authorities said.

The parents of the juveniles were contacted about the incident, and all involved were released with a warning, deputies said.
