Cottonwood will host Washington state power Skyline on Sept. 7 in a nationally televised game designed to showcase two of the country's most-recruited quarterbacks.
The Colts are coming off a mediocre 5-5 season, but are generating national buzz thanks to senior quarterback Cooper Bateman. Bateman has received offers from elite national programs including Alabama, Florida and Auburn. Skyline quarterback Max Browne is the nation's No. 1 quarterback according to Scout.com (the recruiting site lists Bateman as No. 4) and boasts offers from many of the schools that have targeted Bateman.
"They kind of wanted a showdown between Max Browne and Cooper Bateman," Cottonwood coach Josh Lyman said.
