Police are investigating the suspicious death of a Bountiful teen who died during night games on Friday.
The 15-year-old teen and his friends were playing games at Oak Hills Elementary located at 1235 E. 600 South, said Bountiful police Lt. Sol Oberg.
The teen seemed tired, so he sat down and looked like he was falling asleep, Oberg said. When his friends tried to wake him, they couldn't.
Police were called at about 9:20 p.m. After emergency responders were not able to wake the teen, he was flown to Primary Children's Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
"There is no indication that there is any foul play," said Oberg, adding that the death is treated as suspicious as there was no obvious cause. Police, who do not know if the teen had any pre-existing medical conditions, are investigating and an autopsy will be performed.
