Science Movie Night enters Herzog's 'Cave'

In the documentary "Cave of Forgotten Dreams," filmmaker Werner Herzog finds some natural, and man-made wonders, deep in the Chauvet Cave in southern France, a perfectly preserved underground space where artwork dating 30,000 years has been discovered.

"Cave of Forgotten Dreams" is this month's Science Movie Night presentation, sponsored by the Natural History Museum of Utah, the Utah Film Center, and the Salt Lake City Library.

It screens Tuesday, April 10, at 6:30 at the City Library auditorium, 210 E. 400 South, Salt Lake City.

After the screening, photographer/archaeologist/museum curator Laurel Casjens will discuss Utah's beautiful rock art, and how it helps connect us to the people who lived in Utah ages ago.

The screening and Casjens' talk are free to the public.
