The Utes are heading into their final week of practice, with sessions scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday from 3-to-5 p.m. and the Red-White game at 1 p.m. The game is free to the public and has several events planned around it. An Ultimate Tailgate contest will be held in the morning, the MUSS Flag Football game is at 11 a.m. and the Alumni Football game is at noon. Players and coaches will be available for autographs too following the game on the East concourse, not on the field as in the past. The game will feature 10-minute quarters with a normal clock in the first half and a running clock in the second half. More details are on the school's website. The Utes didn't release a new depth chart this week since this is the last week. The next one will be released in May and will stand until the team starts fall camp. However, from talking to coach Kyle Whittingham, the depth charts are meaning a whole lot this spring. This year more than any other year, he has been very noncommittal about the position battles. The reason for his stance is two-fold, he said. As always, every position is up for grabs in his mind, but the Utes are also excited about the players they signed who will be here in the fall, believing several could contend for starting roles. "We feel really good about the incoming recruits," he said. "You don't want to be looking for depth at every position, but it's healthy to have some battles continue in the fall.
