Posted: 8:24 PM- Roger Reid, Snow College's men's basketball coach and a former coach at BYU, will take over as the men's basketball coach at Southern Utah University.

Reid will replace Bill Evans, who coached the Thunderbirds for 15 years. His contract was not renewed after SUU went 16-14 overall and 6-8 in the Mid-Continent Conference.

Reid comes to SUU from Snow College, where he has compiled a 40-22 record in two seasons. But his coaching resumé is much more extensive than that.

He has coached on every level, including the NBA and internationally, but his most impressive tenure was at BYU. He coached from 1989-1996 and had a 152-77 record and a .664 winning percentage.

He guided the Cougars to five NCAA tournament appearances and three WAC championships.

The announcement will be made Tuesdsay at 1 p.m.
