BMW Motorcycles of Utah said it has acquired BMW Motorcycles of Salt Lake City in a deal that increases its market coverage and strengthens its ranking among the top 10 volume dealers for the company in the country.

Vance Harrison, president of BMW Motorcycles of Utah, said the acquisition also is expect to result in greater efficiencies and significantly increase that company's market share.

He said BMW Motorcycles of Salt Lake's location at 215 N. Redwood Road has been closed, with all of that store's products and services activities relocated to the BMW Motorcycles of Utah location in the Sandy Motorrad Complex at 9000 S. 339 West.

BMW Motorcycles of Utah is part of the IMG Moto Group, which includes Harrison Imports, Vespa of Utah, Triumph Motorcycles of Utah and Street Eagle Motorcycles Rentals, which are all located at the Sandy Motorrad Complex.
