The Salt Lake Film Society celebrates independent movies from Mexico, with a two-night event Tuesday, June 19, and Wednesday, June 20, at the Broadway Centre Cinemas, 111 E. 300 South, Salt Lake City.

The Domino Mexican Independent Film Tour kicks off Tuesday at 7 p.m. with a collection of seven short films. One of them, "Juan y la Borrega," will be introduced in person by its director, J. On Wednesday, also at 7 p.m., a panel discussion will start the evening. That's followed by Velasco, again introducing his short film, followed by the feature-length documentary "Vuelve a la vida."

The tour is co-presented by Artes de Mexico en Utah.
