More than 450 people ate over 8,000 chicken wings on Saturday afternoon, all to determine which Utah restaurant makes the best hot wings. The winner of this "WingFest" competition is — drum roll please — Wing Nutz!

The locally-owned restaurant chain, that bakes (not fries) its wings, won "Best Overall" during the blind taste test at Batter Up Sport Bar in Salt Lake City.

Wing Nutz dominated its two competitors — The Wing Coop and Trolley Wing Company — by also winning the "Best Buffalo" and "Best Barbecue" wings categories.

The Wing Coop won in the Best Signature/Creative Wing category.

Trolley Wings went home empty handed.
