Women leaders in suburban Salt Lake City sought for award

The ChamberWest/East Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce Women in Business is accepting nominations for the first ATHENA Leadership Award for West Valley City, Taylorsville, Kearns and Millcreek.

The ATHENA is an international award that celebrates women leaders who enrich their communities.

Nominations will be accepted until Aug. 14. Forms may be obtained at www.chamberwest.org/wib.

The award will be presented on Sept. 18 at the chamber's third annual Stylin' and Successful Women in Business Conference.

The ATHENA Leadership Award program has honored more than 6,000 women leaders from hundreds of cities and eight countries since its inception in 1982.
