The City Creek Center announced Wednesday that three more stores and two restaurants will be opening soon at the downtown Salt Lake City shopping complex.

The stores and one of the eateries will debut in the fall, while one restaurant set up shop next year, according to City Creek officials.

West Elm will be bringing its first interior decorating store to Utah in coming months. The retailer sells products ranging from furniture, bedding and home accessories to gifts and lighting.

The Art of Shaving provides men with shaving products and barber services. The store features products made from all-natural botanical ingredients and also offers advice on grooming techniques.

City Creek also will be home to a Sprint store. The cell phone carrier sells phones, accessories and service plans.

The shopping mall also will add two restaurants, the hamburger diner Johnny Rockets, and the Italian restaurant chain Brio Tuscan Grille.

Johnny Rockets is a retro-styled diner that serves classic American food such as burgers, shakes and fries. Its Aliso Viejo, Ca.-based parent company, which once had a store in Trolley Square, recently returned to Utah with a location at the new Station Park shopping center in Farmington.

The Ohio-based Brio serves a variety of pastas and grilled specialties, and is scheduled to open sometime next year. It debuted its first restaurant in Utah at the Fashion Place in Murray last fall.

City Creek Center, which opened this spring on Main Street, is owned and operated by Michigan-based Taubman Co. The center is part of the larger City Creek project, which includes condominiums and office space and is owned and developed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The shopping mall is more than 95 percent occupied. With the new stores, the complex will have a total of 105 retailers and 22 restaurants (including 12 in the Food Court).

Recently, officials at The Gateway, a competing downtown outdoor shopping mall, announced that the Apple Store would be moving from there to City Creek Center later this year. Also, Microsoft has applied for a construction permit at City Creek to build a Microsoft Store, the first in Utah if it proceeds.
