A Tooele woman was critically injured Friday morning when she apparently fell asleep and rolled her SUV on Interstate 80 in west Salt Lake County.

Utah Highway Patrol Cpl. Todd Johnson said the accident occurred at 8:13 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near milepost 107.

The driver, Shelli Bolton, 30, was not wearing a seat belt. She was ejected from the vehicle and suffered broken bones.

She was transported by ground ambulance to a Salt Lake area hospital.

The accident initially closed the eastbound lanes of I-80 while troopers inspected the scene and wreckage was cleared. But by 9:15 a.m., all lanes had been reopened, according to the Utah Department of Transportation.
