A hiker who was struck by lightning Saturday in Summit County is recovering.
Ferren Rice, 24, was hiking near Amethyst Lake about 5 p.m. Saturday when he was struck.
Rice was initially listed as critical, but had been upgraded to good condition by Monday afternoon, according to a University Hospital spokeswoman.
Amethyst Lake is a day hike from Christmas Meadows, which is east of Mirror Lake, deputies said.
