Barnes & Noble offers a free online story time for kids. Go HERE to listen to (and watch) popular and classic children's books. Once you click on your selection, the stories just play — there's nothing to download. Note: Once the reading starts, you can click on the "scale video" tab so that the book fills the entire screen.

Barnes & Noble also offers a free softcover book to children who have been reading this summer. Children can choose from a selection of books in their local store. Go HERE for details of the program and to download a summer reading log for your child you'll need to fill out and bring in to receive the free book.
