Police are seeking the public's assistance in locating the suspect in a holdup of a Utah First Credit Union earlier this week.

Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal said the suspect — described as a white male, 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall and about 170 pounds — was last seen wearing a white and dark gray or black hat, a white short-sleeved shirt with a black long-sleeved shirt under it, an orange construction-style vest and blue jeans.

Hoyal said the man entered the credit union at 6935 S. 900 East in Midvale about 3:40 p.m. on Monday and handed a note to the teller demanding cash. The teller complied and the suspect, who did not display a weapon during the robbery, put the money in a black shoulder bag and fled northbound on a bicycle. Witnesses saw a red dye bag that had been included with the money by the teller go off as the suspect pedalled away.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information on this case is asked to call UPD at 801-743-5851.
