Video Game •Video game designers for major publishers like Electronic Arts or Activision should take a page from a game like "Sound Shapes" (PlayStation Vita), a rare original in a sea of copycats and sequels. It's a musically generated 2-D platformer in which you control a blob that collects notes as it rolls along colorfully designed stages. By the time you finish a level, you have generated an electronic symphony of music. Best of all, there's a level editor that allows you to create your own "songs" that can be played by anyone around the world. It's unfortunately short and often too difficult, yet still this is a dynamic, unique trailblazer that demonstrates original video-game design is still being created if you can find it.
